Rev. Dr. Angela T. Jones-Ramirez

Pastor

Rev. Dr. Angela T. Jones-Ramirez is celebrating five years of service to Vision of Hope, MCC. Pastor Angie recently earned her Doctor of Ministry Degree in Pastoral Counseling on May 5, 2022. She graduated with Highest Honors (4.0 GPA) from Liberty University. Pastor Angie earned her first Master of Science Degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training from Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Indiana in July 1991. Pastor Angie earned her second Master's Degree from Lancaster Theological Seminary, Lancaster, PA, where she studied and received a Divinity Degree in Pastoral Ministries: Pastoral Care and Counseling. 

 

Prior to accepting her call at Vision of Hope, Pastor Angie served at the United Evangelical Church, UCC in Baltimore, Maryland as a Volunteer Youth Minister. Pastor Angie is bi-vocational. She was called as the Settle Senior Pastor of Vision of Hope on April 2, 2017; she began serving on May 7, 2017. She is also employed by the State of Maryland and serves as a full-time college professor of Health and Life Fitness at Baltimore City Community College, Baltimore, Maryland. Pastor Angie is a Medical-Religious Partner with Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She volunteers and serves as a Baltimore City Police Chaplain and is very a proud member of Kappa Xi Omega Sorority, Incorporated; a premier, service-based lesbian organization.

Pastor Angie believes in and practices radical love and inclusivity for all of God’s Children. She believes in saving and building lives through radical transformative love, Christian education, and service to the community. She believes strongly in and lives by the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

 

Pastor Angie is married to her wife and soul mate, Coralina Felix Jones-Ramirez. They reside in Parkville, Maryland with their six fur babies.
